What benefits should members expect?
Why Loyalty Labs?
Our members know that customer relationships need to quickly evolve and diversify to meet the shifting needs of consumers. Quite simply, we need new ways of activating customers who attend infrequently or not at all.
While individual organizations are experimenting with new approaches, we’ll never achieve the success we need by relying on a haphazard patchwork of one-site, one-off experiments. We aim to change that, through collective action. At the heart of Loyalty Labs is a belief that more people in our communities will engage with our missions when given more ways to get involved.

Who
should join
Loyalty Labs?
Loyalty Labs welcomes arts organization leaders, including staff and trustees, who share our vision and values.
What is a Lab?
Each Lab focuses on a distinct strategy for drawing customers into relationships (e.g., Memberships and Affiliations). A WolfBrown consultant facilitates each Lab. Once you’re a member, you can follow any or all of the Labs, and participate in as many Lab activities as you’d like.

Five Labs

1
Membership and Affiliations
Designing, testing, and implementing a range of mission-driven affiliation and membership opportunities

2
Social Initiators
Supporting the design and implementation of programs and tools that cultivate and support people who organize and recommend outings to cultural events for their friends and followers

3
Taste Communities
Bringing a new focus to adult education as a means of expanding aesthetic pathways into the art (i.e., nurturing “tastes”) and engaging people who hunger to learn more, regardless of how frequently they can attend in-person

4
Programming Frames
Exploring approaches to programming that allow audience members to build affinity for “frames” (i.e., strands, themes, ideas, etc.) that stretch across seasons and do not require knowledge of titles or repertoire to make choices

5
Presentation Formats
Designing, testing and implementing alternative presentation formats that can be widely adopted across the sector (e.g., relaxed formats, educational formats, marathon formats, late-night formats)
